UCS is based within close proximity to London, a number of international airports and Harwich Ferry Terminal- perfectly located to welcome you from across the UK and the globe. 

UCS is easily accessible whether you're visiting the main campus in Ipswich or one of the centres across the county in Bury St Edmunds, Ipswich, Lowestoft, Otley or Great Yarmouth, in Norfolk.

Ipswich Campus

From North, South and West (A14)- Follow the A14 to junction 56, sign-posted A137 Ipswich Central. Follow the A137 and town centre signs. On approaching the town centre, cross over the river in the right hand lane. The Novotel Hotel should be directly ahead. Turn right at the roundabout into Star Lane and stay in the right hand lane, sign-posted Felixstowe. After the third set of traffic lights the road bears round to the right. Take the left hand lane. Follow the road round to the left, still following signs to Felixstowe. After the pedestrian crossing take a left into Back Hamlet followed by an immediate left into the visitor car park.

IMPORTANT NOTICE

Please note that a security barrier has been installed across the exit from the UCS car park onto Grimwade Street. The barrier has been put in place to protect the health and safety of UCS students, staff and visitors by ensuring the car park is no longer a cut through from Fore Street/Back Hamlet onto Grimwade Street. The barrier will be accessible to students and staff via their UCS ID cards. All visitors must request a pin code from the car park attendant on duty or will be given a code by the member of UCS staff they are visiting.

Waterfront Building

Adjacent to the visitor car park is the Waterfront Building. Use the pedestrian crossing on Fore Street to reach the main entrance.

James Hehir Building

Located within close proximity to the Waterfront Building, the James Hehir Building is just a short walk along the quayside. For the main reception please go to the Waterfront Building.

Located a few hundred yards from the visitors carpark, follow signs on foot to UCS at Suffolk New College.

 

Bury St Edmunds Campus

UCS Bury St Edmunds, Front Entrance

From West (A14)- Follow the A14 to junction 42, sign-posted Bury St Edmunds West. Follow signs to the town centre along the A1302 Newmarket Road. The Bury St Edmunds Campus at West Suffolk College is on the left after approximately one mile.

From East (A14)- Follow the A14 to junction 43, and turn left off the roundabout at the bottom of the slip road, following signs to the town centre. Take the second exit on the next roundabout following the A1302, and cross the next mini-roundabout. At the next roundabout, take the third exit, following signs to the A14 and Newmarket. UCS Bury is on the right, approximately 300m along the road. Parking for UCS Bury is available by continuing along this road to the traffic lights, and turning right. Continue past the supermarket, and turn right following signs for the council. UCS Bury car park is at the end of this road.

 

Great Yarmouth Campus

Great Yarmouth Centre

From Lowestoft (A12)- Approach Gorleston with James Paget Hospital on the left. At the second roundabout take the first exit onto the inner relief road (A12). At the next roundabout take the first exit continuing on the inner relief road. At the following roundabout take the third exit, sign-posted Gorleston/Lowestoft. Take the first left into Suffolk Road. Continue straight ahead at the crossroads with Boundary Road. The Great Yarmouth Campus at Great Yarmouth College is approximately a quarter of a mile along on the right hand side.

From Norwich (A47)- Approach Great Yarmouth with Vauxhall Holiday Park on the left and take up the right hand lane following the signs to Lowestoft. Take the third exit at the roundabout over Breydon Bridge (A12). At the next roundabout take the second exit over western bypass. At the next roundabout take the first exit sign-posted Gorleston/Lowestoft. Take the first left into Suffolk Road. Continue straight ahead at the crossroads with Boundary Road. The Great Yarmouth Campus at Great Yarmouth College is approximately a quarter of a mile along on the right hand side.

 

Lowestoft Campus

Horizon Building Lowestoft Centre

From North and South (A12)- Follow the A12 to the junction with the A1144 (St Peter's Street) and follow this road. The Lowestoft Campus at Lowestoft College is 500 metres on the right.

From West (A146)- Follow the A146 through Oulton Broad to join the A1117 Normanton Drive, which leads to the A1144 (St Peter's Street) at the roundabout, sign-posted town centre. The Lowestoft Campus at Lowestoft College is just over a mile on the left.

 

Otley Campus

UCS Otley, Exterior

From North, South and West (A14)- Take the turning for the A140 signposted to Norwich. As soon as you join the A140 you will need to get in the right hand lane to turn right on to the B1078 (signposted Coddenham). Follow the B1078 through the villages of Coddenham and Ashbocking. The Otley Campus at Otley College is on the right hand side of the road and is well signposted.

From Ipswich- Take the B1077 north out of town towards Westerfield. Go straight over the A1214 roundabout and on through the villages of Westerfield and Witnesham towards Ashbocking. Turn right on to the B1078 towards Otley. The Otley Campus at Otley College is a mile away on the right hand side.

From East (A12)- Once on the Wickham Market by-pass (dual carriageway section) go straight over the first roundabout and turn right at the second roundabout (by Wyevale Garden Centre) on to the B1079. Continue for approximately 5 miles. When you come across the t-junction turn left on to the B1078 which is signposted to Otley. After about a mile there is a left hand turning signposted Otley College, the college is a little way up the road on the left hand side.
