This paper discusses the importance of maternal relationships in sustaining soldiers on the Western Front, and how the war itself also brought into question Edwardian ideals of motherhood.

The lecture series are primarily for UCS staff and undergraduates but we would also like to extend an invitation to friends who wish to join us at these events.
